The work, activities, and planning of the Network is guided by the planning committee. The planning committee has the following functions:
- Oversee and develop policy and procedures
- Create and manage by-laws
- Review overall direction and leadership of the organization
- Mentor our members as needed/or asked
- Conduct outreach to members to help their professional development
The executive committee consists of the following officers:
President - (2 years) Provides leadership for MNBP, direct and lead the planning committee, lead all Network meetings.
Vice President - (2 years) Assists the Chair in the work of leading the organization. The Chair and Vice Chair work together to determine how duties will be split based on strengths and interest of the two individuals.
Treasurer - ( 2 year) Manages funds into and out of the MNBP Account, tracks payment of membership. Manages overall financial health and wellness of the organization. Lunch Coordinator - (1 year) Coordinates monthly lunches including invitations, location, speaker, and agenda.
Membership Coordinator - (2 year) Maintains membership for new/existing members; responds to inquiries. Promote and recruit for the Network.- MNBP Executive Committee Secretary - (1 year) -The Executive Committee Secretary will function as administrative support for the MNBP Executive Committee. Primary responsibilities will include attending and documenting minutes from monthly MNBP Executive Committee meetings, tracking attendance and participation of Executive Committee members and assisting in electronic communication between general membership and the Executive Committee. Partnerships Committee Co-Chairs -(1 year) - The Co-Chairs of this ad hoc committee will assist the MNBP in its goal of strengthening current and developing new partnerships with people and organizations with which the MNBP shares common goals. As an interim assignment (until a final decision regarding the formation of a Sponsorships Committee is reached) the Co-Chairs of the Partnerships Committee will be responsible for seeking sponsorships for MNBP events. Co-Chairs of the Partnerships Committee have the authority to delegate committee responsibilities to Partnerships Committee members, as appropriate.
Outreach Committee Co-Chairs - (1 year) - The Co-Chairs of this ad hoc committee will assist the MNBP in its goal of providing outreach opportunities in efforts to provide guidance, tutoring and mentoring initiatives for our youth, as well as other community outreach initiatives as identified by the Outreach Committee and as prioritized by the MNBP Executive Committee. Co-Chairs of the Outreach Committee will have the authority to delegate committee responsibilities to Outreach Committee members, as appropriate. Communications Committee Co-Chairs - (1 year)-The Co-Chairs of this ad hoc committee will assist the MNBP in its goal of delivering consistent, appealing communications via the most efficient medium, as decided by the Communications Committee. The Co-Chairs will take overall responsibility for collecting, drafting and distributing information for MNBP audiences, internal (membership) and external (general public), while maintaining the integrity of the MNBP and its brand. Co-Chairs of the MNBP sub Committee will have the authority to delegate committee responsibilities to Communications Committee members, as appropriate.
